Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide · Delta Sleep Peptide
The original sleep neuropeptide studied for deep delta sleep and stress resilience
Typical Dose
0.5 mg once daily (starting dose)
Route
Subcutaneous
Frequency
Once daily (subcutaneous injection in stomach or upper arms)
Cycle
8–12 weeks with gradual titration
Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in 1977. It was named for its ability to induce delta (slow-wave) sleep in rabbits. Research has since expanded to explore its roles in stress response modulation, neuroendocrine regulation, antioxidant activity, and potential neuroprotective effects. Think of DSIP as a gentle nudge toward the deepest, most restorative stage of sleep — the stage where your body actually repairs itself.
DSIP modulates the activity of several neurotransmitter systems including GABA, serotonin, and opioid pathways. It influences the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, affecting the release of LH, GH, and cortisol. Its sleep-promoting effects may involve modulation of adenosine signaling and direct effects on sleep-regulating circuits.
Typical Dose
0.5 mg once daily (starting dose)
Dose Range
0.5–2 mg/day
Frequency
Once daily (subcutaneous injection in stomach or upper arms)
Route
Subcutaneous injection
Cycle Length
8–12 weeks with gradual titration
CLINICAL NOTES
Start at 0.5 mg once daily for the first 4 weeks. At week 5, the dose may be increased to 1 mg once daily. At week 9, if additional effects are needed, the dose may be increased to 2 mg once daily. Administer in the evening for best sleep-promoting effects.
Vial Size
10 mg
BAC Water
2 mL (200 units)
Concentration
5 mg/mL
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the caps from the bacteriostatic water (BAC water) and DSIP vial and clean both stoppers with alcohol swabs. Draw 200 units (2 mL) of bacteriostatic water into a syringe and inject it into the DSIP vial. Gently swirl until fully dissolved — do not shake. The solution is now 5 mg/mL.

| 2 mg | 40 units | 0.40 mL |
STORAGE
Lyophilized powder: store in a cool, dry, dark area for up to 1 year. Once reconstituted: refrigerate and use within 56 days.
